Tankavaara Gold Village
The Gold Village offers unique experiences in Finnish Lapland right next to the Urho Kekkonen national park. Our restaurant Old Gold Prospector and prospector's cottages and apartments are open year-round. In summer we teach gold panning every day outdoors, all the gold that find is yours to keep. In winter we offer several safari services with huskies, reindeer and snowmobiles as well as indoor gold panning.
Tankavaara is also the ideal place for northern lights hunting since we have very few lights to disturb the views. You can spot the aurora borealis just outside your cottage in Tankavaara.
